January - February 2010
Saturday 27th February
A great time for us at the Southern Championship Show today! Kye started the day off well by winning his Graduate Class. Seamus was then placed first in a super Open Class and in the challenge was awarded the Reserve Dog CC! After lunch, Holly won both her Post Graduate class and the Reserve Bitch CC! The judge for the day was Wendy Bentley (Wenark). Hopefully photos to follow later on. We have another short break from showing now to spend time with the puppies and may be even do some decorating!!??
Friday 26th February
Tomorrow is the Southern ESS Society Champ Show and we have three dogs entered. Evenutally,
we might get motivated enough to get them ready. Weather has been the worst imaginable which
doesn't exactly help to boost enthusiasm!
Some new pics added today to the Photo Gallery in the main menu of Forrest who has now left for
his forever home, a new one of Oscar and another great photo of Kitkat in the snow in Denmark.
We have set up a dedicated page for Kitkat which can be viewed via Our Dogs and then Dogs Bred
By Us. Hopefully we will be able to keep up to date there with her hoped for achievements in the
world of obedience!!
Photo to the right is of 'Becky' Goldmoore's Hyacinth Bucket, Seamus daughter in Sweden who
achieved Best Puppy In Show at her debut show.
Finally, new photos have been added plus some video clips of the Seamus x Ninja pups. Go to
Current Litters page for them. The puppies were four weeks old yesterday and have now been
moved out to the puppy pen in the kitchen which they have taken completely in their stride.
Saturday 20th February
Yesterday was Ninja's Birthday so yet another sausage ceremony was enjoyed by all. A new video clip has been added today of the pups at three weeks looking a bit more lively now. Also some new photos taken of them enjoying their food. Next week the puppies will be moved out into the puppy pen in the kitchen to give them some more room to play.
Tuesday 16th February
Some good news to share concerning some Seamus kids both here and abroad. 'Toash', (GaolachCara Oghma), not to be outdone by his sister, stole the show this weekend and won the Gundog Group at Coatbridge, Airdrie & District Open Show. 'Becky' (Goldmoores Hyacinth Bucket) attended her first show in Sweden and was awarded BPIB by judge, Christina Daniels (Mistilys) and then BPIS! Finally, 'Aya' (Desperados Aya) also attending her first show in Norway finished BPIB and PG4. Judge there was Laurent Picard from Switzerland. Congratulations from all of us!!!
Some new pics added to Current Litters page of the Ninja x Seamus pups. They are doing very well and are extremely lively. Weaning has started using the term very loosely... they are wearing more than they are eating, but we will get there.
Friday 12th Feburary
Well the snow has returned to Kent and it is brrrrrrrr......!!! All dogs are fine and liking the snow a whole lot more than we do. Some new pics and a short video clip of Ninja's puppies have been added to the Current Litters page - they are now up on their legs and their eyes are beginning to open. Another couple of clips have also been added to the Photo Gallery (in main menu) taken yesterday afternoon of the big pups - Eva, Elin, Fifi and Forrest - in the garden.
Monday 8th February
Had a lovely visit this weekend from our Polish friends, Kasia, Ola, Anja and Maciej. Hopefully next time you will be able to stay a little bit longer and come to a show with us!!!???
Ninja's puppies are doing really well and growing rapidly. A new photo taken at ten days has been added to their page. May be tomorrow we will take some separately of the boys and girls...
Some lovely photos have been added to the Photo Gallery in the main menu, of Ruby from the F litter and more of Kitkat in the snow. We have had yet more snow here this morning but we can't compete on quality, ours is just wet and horrible and not at all pretty!
Congratulations yet again to Elaine and Raymond, who have been awarded Top Scottish Open Show Dog of the Year for Kaila's fantastic performance during last year. She also won the prize for the Top Puppy in Scotland too. Well done from us and Seamus sends a kiss for his clever daughter!
Lastly, a new photo of Elin taken at four months has been added to her own page. Thank you for sending it Kasia x! She is looking a bit scruffy - trimming planned for tomorrow we think!
Thursday 4th February
New photo added to Welcome page of Ninja's babies at 5 days old. They continue to do well although Ninja seems to prefer them rolled up in a tube of vet bed like a 'puppy roulade'. More photos to follow soon.
Seamus, Kye and Holly went for their annual eye tests last night and everything was just fine.
Tuesday 2nd February
Yesterday was Lila's 3rd Birthday - so the diet went out of the window for a day so she could enjoy her sausages. Many happy returns to all her litter mates from the 'A' litter.
A new photo has been added to the Gallery in the main menu, of Monty (P Ember) as well as a new one of Ninja's brood who incidentally are doing tremendously well and looking very plump and bonny already. Go to the Current Litters page to view that.
Finally a new photo of Forrest, Peasblossom Fantasy adorns our welcome page. Picture taken at 10 weeks.
Friday 29th January
Ninja's puppies have arrived, slightly earlier than expected and rather more of them too! She had been scanned for 5-6 so we were rather surprised when no less than nine puppies arrived! Still mother and babies are doing well and we have five boys and four girls. Photos will be added in due course to the Current Litters page.
Monday 25th January
Well some good news that Kye has won his first Reserve CC at Manchester!! A really nice surprise and a great day all round for our first show of the year!! Judge was Trudy Topliss. Kye won his Yearling Dog class, Seamus was placed third in Open and Holly also won a super Post Graduate Bitch Class. But the day belonged to our lovely boy, Kye who celebrated his second Birthday only the day before. Obviously the sausage ceremony inspired him! Hope the rest of the Peasblossom 'C' Litter enjoyed a very happy Birthday too...
Thursday 21st January
Some new photos added of Kye's litter in Spain at Kennel De Los Tres Robles. Click here to view. The puppies are 8 weeks old in the photos. Good luck with the babies from all of us!
Sunday is Manchester Champ Show - our first show for what seems like months! News on that to follow next week.
Saturday 16th January
Today the first of the Sammy x Izzie pups have left for their new homes. Florence is staying relatively local with her family in Kent and is now called Ruby! We have been annoying the hell out of her by singing Kaiser Chiefs to her every five minutes but at least she knows her name already! Felix has moved up to London with his new family and we await confirmation of his new name in due course. Forrest and Fifi are staying here for a while. It certainly is quieter with only two!
Elin and Eva went to their first Ringcraft class on Thursday and enjoyed themselves immensely. Elin did some stands and her first triangle with great style and a wagging tail. Eva played with a toy poodle, a golden retriever and looked angelic at the ring side.
The Current Litters page has been updated with details on the Seamus and Ninja puppies due shortly. Ninja is looking fairly round now but as lovely and as happy as ever.
Not that we are obsessed with the weather or anything (?) but it is vile!!! All the snow has gone but in its place we have strong winds and torrential rain, which I think is what we had before the snow came... roll on spring!
Monday 11th January
Not too much news to speak of. We have been snowed in for a couple of days but the dogs didn't mind too much! At least it gave us the chance to catch up on some trimmng which they did mind!
Izzie's pups are doing well and will soon be leaving us for pastures new. Some new photos and a video clip have been added to the Current Litters page.
The Photo Gallery (main menu) has also been updated today with some pics of Peasblossom pups, past and present - all taken in the snow of course!
We can also confirm that Ninja is expecting puppies again and that Seamus will be the proud father. Puppies will be due at the beginning of February. More information soon...
