July - August 2010

Tuesday 31st August

No show news for us, but SKC has been and gone for another year with Robin finishing second in Puppy Dog but quite a good show for some Seamus kids nevertheless which is great to hear. Hunterheck Antigonus winning Minor Puppy Dog first time out, Gaolachcara Oghma winning Post Grad Dog and his sister G Cliodna second in Post Grad Bitch. Well done to all.

Some lovely news too that another Seamus son, Dexbenella It's About Time (Mac) has made a brilliant start to his show career, finishing BOB & BP at Horley & District, Gundog Group 1, BEST PUPPY IN SHOW AND RESERVE BEST IN SHOW!!! Pretty good for a seven month baby!! Well done from us both and long may it continue!!

We have a seven-month old puppy dog available to the right home. Please see Current Litters page for photos and details.

Sunday 22nd August

Today it was WKC - a small entry of springers unfortunately for judge, Wendy Minshull with all judging completed by not much later than midday. Seamus was 4th in Open Dog. Elin won Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch overall. Robin won Best Puppy Dog and this time was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED over Elin. Well done Robin!! Dave went with just two of our dogs - poor Dave!!

Tuesday 17th August

Sunday the 15th was the day of Bournemouth. We didn't go but Robin did us all proud again being declared BEST PUPPY IN BREED and also going on to finish PUPPY GROUP 3. Well done - clever boy!!! More congratulations too, to Derek and Hazel who's Peasblossom Gambit finished second in Minor Puppy Dog and qualified for Crufts, and to all at Trimere for the fantastic achievement of James finishing BEST IN SHOW yesterday.

I have deleted my Facebook account as I finally decided it was about time that I got a life! Far too much time wasted on there and as much as I will miss looking at photos of other peoples' springers, playing games and chatting to people, it was time to get on with things at home..... so any future contact will have to be by email or even telephone. More news soon hopefully....

Tuesday 10th August

Finally, some time to update our News page!! On Saturday, I travelled to Malvern at some ridiculous hour with Lesley for National Gundog under judge, Lynda Lillie. It turned out to be quite a special day! Another good show for Robin, winning both Puppy Dog and Novice Dog. Kye won his Graduate class and Seamus was third in Open. Not Seamus' best day but it was great to see his offspring do so well. Mac (Dexbenella It's About Time) was placed first in Minor Puppy Dog at his first appearance at a Champ Show. Kyle and Toash (Gaolachcara Somhlth & Oghma) finished respectively second and fourth in Graduate and Post Grad with their sister Kaila (G Cliodna) winning Graduate Bitch. So nice to watch other people's dogs fidgeting for a change.... can't imagine where they get it from :o)

Next for us was Elin who won Puppy Bitch, yet again having to challenge Robin for Best Puppy overall. She won. A long wait then ensued for the Puppy Group where we were all caught in a torrential downpour and had to finish the judging inside. Completely overwhelmed when Elin was awarded RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW by the Group Judge, Di Arrowsmith!!!

Lesley's two girls, Eula and Isla were placed first and fourth in their classes but it was also a fantastic day for her when Ash, Woodspa Ash of Meadowdale won his first Reserve CC. Well done from us both xxx All in all we were quite a pair of happy chappies driving home!

The following day (where does she get the energy?) Trudy and Robin went to Pollard Open Show where Robin was Best Puppy in Breed under Emma Boole, Best Puppy in Group under Tom Graham and finally BEST PUPPY IN SHOW under Ron Carter. Brilliant news - well done Robin!!!

Dave, of course, missed it all! He was out in Sweden at Kennel Barecho with Holly who has been mated to the lovely young male, Barecho Zuper Playmaker. Puppies will hopefully be due around 8th October. Go to Planned Litters for full details.

Finally, new photos have been added to the galleries of Robin, Elin and Kye as well as some new additions to Seamus' offspring gallery.

Monday 26th July

Another good day for our kennel at Leeds Championship Show yesterday. Leeds has been kind to us in the last few years. Judge for the day was Marion Morgan (Kessmari) Robin started the day off by winning the Puppy Dog and Novice Dog classes. This secured the final points for his Junior Warrant at just nine months!!! Well done Trudy and David - all your hard work and the millions of miles paid off!!! Kye won Graduate Dog, Seamus was third in Open and Robin was finally given the nod for Best Puppy Dog overall.

Elin was first in Puppy Bitch and Holly was fourth in Post Graduate Bitch. However, Rattan was awarded first in that same class! Elin got the decision for Best Puppy Bitch and finally had to challenge Robin for Best Puppy overall - she won this time. These two pups have been little stars!!!! New photos taken at the show have been added to Robin, Elin's and Rattan's pages.

Sunday 18th July

Lovely news from Trudy that taday, Robin was awarded Best Puppy In Breed at East Riding Gundog under Ken Willey and finished RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW under Colin Woodward. Whoop Whoop! Yesterday, he and Rattan attended the Southern Open Show under judge Christine Macdonald. Robin won two classes and Rattan won hers. Well done!!

Finally, some wonderful photos of Robin and Elin's sister, Kitkat, have been added to her own page. She is looking really so well - go to Dogs Bred By Us to locate her gallery of photos.....

Monday 12th July

Yesterday was East of England Champ show with judge, Lyn Gregory. Not exactly a thrilling day although Holly and Robin flew a little flag for the Peasblossoms, winning Post Grad bitch and BEST PUPPY IN BREED respectively! A relatively local show for us so not too far to go and the weather was lovely ... hmmmm and that's about all we have to say ...... except some new photos have been added of Robin, Holly and Elin to their respective pages.

Tuesday 6th July

Super news again from Trudy and David as Robin (P Escape to Beresford) has won another RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at Harrogate & District Canine Society, under breed judge David Felshaw and then in the big ring under judge Jim Outerside. WELL DONE from us both!!!

Secondly, some news from Sweden that Seamus' son, Barecho Winning Streak has won his first CC at Rottneros SSRK Show on Saturday under Dalia Rocchi. He also finished Best Male overall. Congratulations!
