Friday 18th July
Hot, hot, hot is our news for this week. No shows thank God as the weather is 30 degrees plus :o( Miserable for the dogs and for us. Roll on cooler weather especially for the forthcoming shows. On the plus side, however, the weather has meant that the puppies have been able to venture outside in the garden. They were five weeks last Monday and doing really well. Please go to the Current Litters page to see some photos taken this week.

Another super show for us at East of England yesterday, with little Millie winning the Reserve CC from Junior to add to the CC she has already won. Bessie also won her Puppy Class again and Rafferty was placed second to half brother Mac, who went on to get the CC & Best of Breed. Judge was Jane Eyeington. Thank you to everyone who organised the after judging party to celebrate the new Show Champions in the breed :) Rafferty, Duffy and Nico. Really a nice thing to do we think....
Last weekend, Dave with the help of Celia (thank you!) took Serafina for its first outing to Windsor Champ Show. A steep learning curve for sure, but a good and positive one. Thank you for all of your lovely comments about the stand and the products. See you next time at Richmond.
Lila's babies are doing well, and almost four weeks old now. They have been a doddle for us - quiet and content and Lila keeps them immaculate (naturally :o) ) Some new photos added to their page on Current Litters.
Kate will be the next girl to be have puppies here and the boy has been chosen. Such a nice boy and we think he will be the perfect choice for beautiful Kate. Please go to Planned Litters for details on this anticipated mating.

So Rafferty is a champion!! What a wonderful run of shows he has had, culminating in his third and crowning CC last weekend at Blackpool. The judge was Caroline Robinson and we were thrilled when Raff was awarded the Open Dog Class and finally the CC. We had thought that he might have some wait for his title ... he is only a youngster when all is said and done ... so we have been surprised, very pleasantly so :o), that he has managed to do it so soon. Bessie won her first Puppy Bitch class and Millie again won Junior. Rafferty was finally given the nod for Best of Breed. Nothing in the Group but still a thrill to get there of course. Thank you for all the cards, messages and emails of congratulations. He is a lovely boy full of the love of life - anything else is just a bonus!
Puppy news - all three girls are doing really well, well rounded and even. Better still, they are as quiet as three little mice and we forget we have them sometimes. They still haven't opened their eyes but are up on their legs. Lila has been the perfect mother :o) More pictures to follow very soon.
Wednesday 11th June
Another super, super day for us at the Northern ESS Club Championship Show under judge, Per Iversen from Norway. This time, Rafferty, Bessie, Millie and Kate took the long drive up north. Rafferty was on good form and managed to win the Open Dog Class. He was then awarded the DCC, his second. Bessie and Millie both won their respective Minor Puppy and Junior Classes with Bessie winning Best Puppy Bitch, and Millie, Best Black and White Bitch. Kate was placed fourth in Open Bitch. Rafferty was finally given the nod for BEST IN SHOW - we have been lucky to have had a really good run of shows with our dogs and the Northern has certainly been an extra lucky show for us, as we won the DCC & BIS there last year with Kye and Seamus has also won a CC there :)
While all of this was going on, Lila was in the early stages of labour at home. Following some complications she had an emergency caesarean early on Monday morning resulting in the arrival of three lovely daughters. Both Lila and the babies are doing well. Some photos to follow very soon :)
Wednesday 4th June
More show news for us this week and this time, Southern Counties Champ Show for the opinion of Chris Bexon. We had entered five dogs and miraculously managed to get all of them ready on time. It was a lovely day, not least because we were able to go to the show together for a change. Both Kye and Rafferty were entered in the Open Class It was a super class too which Kye managed to win. Raff was placed fifth, looking like the whipper snapper he is, up now against the big boys. We were delighted when Kye was awarded the DCC, his fourth. The girls were next - Bessie was placed fourth in Minor Puppy Bitch, Millie won Junior and Kate was second in Open to the eventual BCC winner. Kye was eventually awarded BOB and rounded off a super day by being short-listed in the Group by Ron James :o) Some photos of the day below.
Other news concern Izzie's ninth Birthday last week. We can hardly believe that she is now the 'old lady' at home although she certainly doesn't behave that way. See a little video clip below too of her taken when she was about 16 weeks old. She still plays exactly like this :o)
