Wednesday 29th April
A new photo of Sadie, and two of Toby in their new homes added today. Go to the Photo Gallery in the main menu to locate them.
Sunday 26th April
Two futher puppies have left now. Dudley has gone to live in Worcestershire with his new family and with a new name of 'Toby'. Daisy left us this morning for Surrey and is now called 'Millie'. Lots of luck to you both. Just Dixie and Dusty remain now although Dixie is off shortly to an exciting new life in Southern Ireland and then on to Australia later on this year.
Yesterday we went to the ESSC Champ Show under judge Ann Corbett. An okay-kind of day....Kye finished third in Junior Dog, Holly second in Yearling Bitch, Lila also second in Graduate Bitch and Izzie, third in Mid Limit. Nice venue though......!
Friday 24th April
Three more puppies have now left for their new homes in Yorkshire, London and Surrey. We wish Dolly who is now 'Millie', Dexter, now 'Freddie' and Delilah who is now 'Lola' all the very best with their new families. The sweetest new photo of Freddie added to the Photo Gallery (Main menu).
We are off to our first dog show in ages tomorrow at the ESSC. We have four dogs entered so best get on with getting them all bathed!
Tuesday 21st April
On Sunday, Dottie (Peasblossom Dream) left us for her new home in Merseyside. Her new name is Sadie. We wish her all the luck and love in the world.
We have taken a few very short video clips today of the remaining puppies - go to Photo Gallery in the main menu to find them.
Thursday 16th April
Yesterday I judged at Windsor Gundog and had a really good entry of 24 with no absentees. My BOB was Dexbenella Drama Queen JW, RBOB was Trimere Thrills And Frills, who gained her Junior Warrant on the day, BP was Feorlig Zarapito and Best Veteran, Graftonbury Navahoe at Dexbenella, who topped the Veteran Stakes on the day as well. Thank you to everyone for coming...
Took more photos of the puppies - click here to view. Only head shots this time, taken at seven weeks.
Tuesday 14th April
Super news from Sweden that Seamus, at his second show back home, SKK Kista, finished Best Dog, Best of Breed, BIG3 and was also awarded his second CACIB. Also to hear that his little daughter, Barecho Wish I Was A Punkrocker has won two Best Puppy In Show awards at only her first two shows. Well done Sheila!!
Thursday 9th April
Some health news... Rudo and Helma in Holland have confirmed that they have received the hip score results for Mattie (Peasblossom Caress) and she has A hips, the best possible. Phew...!!! Also, Rattan (Peasblossom Butterfly at Beresford) has tested clear for PRA Cord 1. Phew again!!!
Finally, new photos in gallery and a video clip added to our the Current Litters page of the puppies taken today, aged six weeks. I have to apologise for the state of me in this video - my only excuse is that it is after two night duties with only about a minutes sleep in 48 hours!!! If there was any way that I could remove myself from this clip, believe me, I would!!! Finally, photos also added of all eight puppies standing (using the term loosely..) taken today, go to Current Litters page, or click here to view.
Tuesday 31st March
Sorry for delay in new photos. We are having problems with the computer and in particular with the downloading and cropping of photographs. We have, however, managed to put four new puppy ones on today. Hopefully, the technical hitch will be resolved soon when more photos of Dudley, Dexter, Delilah, Dusty, Dottie, Dolly, Dixie and Daisy will follow shortly.
Wednesday 25th March
Some new photos added to Seamus' gallery today taken at Malmo. He didn't do anything further after winning the Group, but heh, who cares??? The puppies continue to do well and have been moved out to the Puppy pen in the kitchen for more space. Perhaps some more photos to follow tomorrow....
Sunday 22nd March
Well, the best piece of news is that yesterday, Seamus went to the Malmo International Swedish Winners Show with Helene and David. He finished Best Dog, was awarded the CACIB and the title of SW-Winner 09 and finally, Best of Breed over his mother, Kylie. But his great day didn't end there as he went on to top the Group too. A fantastic achievement for his first show appearance back in Sweden. Good to see that normal service has been resumed in the Barecho household!! Hopefully, some photos to follow soon. Best In Show is due to take place this evening so we are waiting to hear what happens....
Back here in sunny Kent, we have celebrated Eden's eighth Birthday today with yes, EIGHT sausages!! She then posed for some photos in the garden in front of the pansies, most of which have been decimated by Kye and Lila who prefer them without heads!!! The new photos can be seen in Eden's own gallery page.
A new video page added today with three (very!) short clips of the dogs in the woods. Weather has been great - so we have been making the most of it!
A couple of new photos also added to the puppy Gallery on the Current Litters page and another short video clip too. They are coming on well and have started to get the hang of this eating lark.
Finally, some lovely photos too, added to Ninja's gallery of her enjoying some peace away from the puppies in the garden.
Tuesday 17th March
Not too much to say about the SWESS but see the results on www.sesss.org! Another new photo added to Mattie's gallery taken at the show last weekend. She is looking very well. Finally, some up to date photos of the puppies added to their gallery as well as a little video clip. It is a bit dark, probably not helped by the colour of the vet bed, but it's sweet anyway.
Lastly some lovely news from Scotland that Seamus' daughter, Kaila (GaolachCara Cliodna) attended Clydebank & District Open Show on Saturday, won AV Minor Puppy Bitch and went on to be awarded Puppy Group 2 by Breed Specialist, Nicola Calvert. Well done from all of us!!! I have added a photo of her to a new page that can be viewed from Seamus' own page via the link 'Seamus' offspring'... what else??
Saturday 14th March
New, beautiful photo added to Mattie's gallery today. She and her kennel mate, Darwin, are attending a show today which will be Mattie's last for a while in Holland. Good luck! Puppies continue to do well - more photos to follow soon. Tomorrow Kye and Holly are going to the SWESS Open Show so we'll see what happens there. It will be our last show for at least a month, giving us time to concentrate on the babies. Finally we would like to wish Zola, Hope and our wonderful Seamus a very happy 3rd Birthday for tomorrow. Hopefully he will have a Swedish meat-ball ceremony which he likes as much as sausages!!
Tuesday 10th March
Two new photos of the puppies at 12 days old added to their gallery on the Current Litters page. They are now up on their legs and tottering about. Fun times ahead...!
Sunday 8th March
Crufts has come and gone for another year.... many congratulations to Best of Breed winner, Trimere Talking Point of Allenie who went on to get Gundog Group 3. Not too much to say about Crufts - both Kye and Lila finished third in their respective classes, Kye being expertly handled by Carro, our friend from Sweden. It was a very 'English' day and all four Barecho dogs were overlooked so a very long drive from Scandinavia for not a great deal. Still, from our point of view, it was great to spend a few days with our friends and their lovely dogs and we will just hope for better luck next time!
Seamus left this morning with Helene and David and will be spending three months back in Sweden. We miss him already!!!
Ninja's puppies are all doing really well. Perhaps some more photos to follow shortly.
Very belated Birthday wishes to the Peasblossom B litter, who were two years old on Thursday. Hope you all had a lovely day!!! So sorry for the delay!!
Finally, we have been taking photos today of some of the dogs, so go to the galleries of Seamus, Kye, Lila, Izzie and Holly to view.
Wednesday 4th March
Three new photos added to the puppy gallery on the Current Litters page. All the babies and Mum are doing so well. We have been preparing three dogs for Crufts today and also for the arrival of Helene, David and Vanja from Scandinavia. No more news now until after Crufts, but good luck everyone and enjoy the day!!!
Monday 2nd March
Fantastic news from Holland that Mattie, Peasblossom Caress, is a Dutch Youth Champion. At only her third show on Saturday, she won the CAC and finished Best Bitch and BOS to her kennel mate, Darwin. This means that she has the very grand title of JW 08 - NJK 09!! Mattie has won sufficient CAC's already to have gained her adult title, but will have to wait until she is 27 months old before she can be awarded this accolade. Well done Mattie, Rudo and Helma, we are very proud of you!
Ninja's babies are flourishing and Ninja is a fantastic mother. Two new photos added to the gallery on the Current Litters page today.
Kye and Holly went to an Open Show yesterday but sadly Kye has descended into insanity as a result of now the third consecutive bitch in season at home. Poor boy has fallen to pieces... roll on Crufts :) Holly finished RBOB so not so bad.
Other than that, my only news is that I nearly set fire to the house the other day... Seamus is certainly no 'Lassie' as he sat trembling in the corner as flames licked around the kitchen units!!! I, of course, thought that the smell of burning was my clipper motor!!! Lesson to be learned... don't put a plastic box on the hob without checking that all the knobs are off! Still danger averted and we live to fight another day......
