October - November 2014

Tuesday 25th November

More puppy photos added today and a few video clips. Puppies are now out in the big puppy pen in the kitchen taking everything in their stride. They are fully weaned now and Willow is not quite so keen to go in to them :o) They have very sharp teeth!

Some show news from France ... Tasha (P Nettle) attended the Championship show at Tarbes where she was BOB Junior and second in the Group. Congratulations :o) Photo below of Tasha at Tarbes (click to enlarge).

Thursday 13th November

The puppies were three weeks on Tuesday. Weaning is under way, eyes are fully open and they are much more active. New pics and video clips added to their page today.

Thursday 6th November

A few video clips of the pups added today. Go to their page to view :o) Not the best quality but sweet nonetheless :o)

Tuesday 4th November

News from Mid Herts Gundog that Peasblossom Luna for Zawspring 'Annie' went BOB under judge, Christine Morgan. Congratulations :) Also super news from France that Tasha, P Nettle, attended her first Hunting Test which she won :) The test involved her finding and retrieving live quail. Clever girl :)

Puppies continue to do well and are growing very fast. More pics added to their page. Today, they are two weeks old and are getting about much quicker. This coming week their eyes will open and perhaps we will start them on some real food :)

Saturday 1st November

Another puppy update with more photos added to their page. They are going great guns and growing quickly. Their eyes are still shut tight of course, but they are starting to get up and move around. Cannot really call that 'walking' just yet but it's progress :o)

Monday 27th October

So the puppies have arrived :o) Earlier than due as we had expected. Willow is now the proud mother of ten babies, four boys and six girls. Please go to the Current Litters page to find link to puppies' own page for photos so far. Mum and babies are doing really well :o)

Show news from Yorkshire Gundog that Jack & Barbara's 'Alfie;, P Nemesis with Jonabar went BP and BOB and also won the Puppy Stakes. Judges were Sandy Platt and Mr J Evans. Congratulations from us both. Alfie and his litter mates celebrated their first Birthday on the day of the show - how time really does fly by ... but Happy Birthday 'N's :o)

Monday 20th October

Quick update this week ... we unfortunately missed the SWESS Open Show this weekend as Dave was unwell and I had to work. Such a pity but these things happen. We are on the count down now to the birth of Willow's puppies. Surely will be earlier rather than later judging by the size of her, poor girl.

Other news involves Annie this week, (P Luna at Zawspring) who went with owner Zoe Wilson to Lowestoft Open Show where she was BOB and Gp 3 under judges, Tracey Grantham and Caroline Walkling. Well done indeed :o)

Tasha was out and about again in France with owner Alice Wagner, this time to Poitiers International Dog Show where she won Junior, Best of Breed and Group 2 at only eleven months. She was also second best pair overall with kennel mate, Holly. Marley also went to this show where he picked up the Reserve CACIB. Congratulations to you both :) Finally new pages added (but not quite complete..) for Annie, Tasha, Marley and Alfie - go to Dogs Bred By Us to find them.

Sunday 12th October

Yesterday our black and white girl became a champion :O) Dave took three dogs to South Wales for the opinion of judge, Christine House (Gleadsbury) and we had a super day with all three winning their classes. Rafferty was placed first in Open Dog and Kate, first in Open Bitch but the day belonged to Millie who won Junior and the Bitch CC!! It would have been her last Junior Class so we were thrilled that she won and elated when she was awarded the CC and BOB to round off what has been a wonderful year for her. But life with dogs, as we all know, is full of ups and downs so it was with huge disappointment that Millie was withdrawn from the Group with dead tail :o( Still it did not take anything away from our huge delight in Millie's success. She is young still with plenty of time for other similar opportunities (we hope :o) )

Thursday 2nd October

I am getting particularly bad at updating the website I have noticed ... I think a facelift is in order to motivate me again..... Darlington, in any case came and went with very little to say other than it is a very long way! It was though, a lovely day for Alfie, Peablossom Nemesis with Jonabar who won the overall Pro Plan Puppy Stakes competition on the day. Congratulations to you both :o)

Since the last update we have celebrated (with sausages of course!) Bessie's first Birthday so it is a very recent photo of her that graces our Home page this time. So no longer a puppy :o( but she is the most delightful, happy girl and we are very pleased to have her :o)

Willow has been for a scan and we can confirm that she is expecting puppies at the end of the month. To be exact eleven, maybe twelve!! Willow is positively blooming and looking fairly large already as you might expect. Please see our Current Litters page for more information and I will be in touch with prospective puppy owners in due course.

Last week we spent a super week with our friends in Poland, Kasia and Marcin of Kennel Lordsett. So great to see them and we enjoyed every second talking dogs and plans :o) We are now having covetous thoughts about a little plot of land by the lake where they live. May be one day :o) In the meantime, thank you both for a great time xxx
