16th October

Fantastic news to share from Gundog Society of Wales champ show this past weekend where we had entered five dogs for the opinion of judge, Kelly Jenkinson. Pepe was first to go, as usual alone in Puppy Dog, but slowly we think he is starting to get the hang of showing and did at least move around the ring like something resembling a springer. He finished the day as Best Puppy Dog. Rafferty was next and won Open Dog and his eleventh CC! Kye was last to go of our boys, in Veteran which he won too :o) Tansy was first in Junior Bitch and Millie placed fourth in Open Bitch. In the challenges, Rafferty was awarded Best of Breed and Kye, Best Veteran. In the group under Valerie Foss, Rafferty was shortlisted down to the last nine :o) and Kye, under judge, Stephen Hollings finished a lovely day for us, as BEST VETERAN IN SHOW!! So very proud of our boys - they never let us down!!!

Following on from the Champ Show, we were entered with the same dogs at the ESSC of Wales Open Show under judge, Ann-Sofie Ohman from Kennel High-Score in Sweden.
Pepe, alone again, was Best Puppy Dog but thrilled us when he was eventually placed as Reserve Best Male. I guess his behaviour couldn't have been that bad :o) Kye was Best Veteran Dog. Sadly things went awry at that point because we had to leave to take Raff and Kye in to the Group competitions and missed out on any further judging. However it was a super day all round and we are grateful to all judges for our placings.
