Dave and I started out together in 2005 with just three springers, Summer, Eden and Honey. Sadly, by this time Honey had been diagnosed with Chronic Hepatitis and despite some really good times with her, where we excitedly planned some puppies, it was not to be. Not long before Honey died, we bought in Cepen Celtic Charm - 'Izzie' who would be the foundation of our new kennel. By the way, Peasblossom is the name of a fairy in A Midsummer Night's Dream - well it isn't that easy to think of names you know.....! Well I love it even if is a bit girly!
We soon realised that Izzie was not particulary cut out for this showing lark, not being the most outgoing of girls. A shame because she is lovely and very special to us but that's the way it goes sometimes. Alanea Flame joined us soon after as we greatly admired both her parents, Calvdale Crimewatch and Alanea Carisma.
Around that time, I was spending a lot of time looking at websites of Scandinavian English Springer kennels when I came across the Barecho homepage. We were smitten with the dogs and fell in love completely with Wongan Kadenza. We very cheekily emailed his owners Helene and David Bjorkman to ask if they would send him to England!! We were amazed and delighted when Helene replied that she would send him for a month as any longer and she would miss him far too much! She also offered to send his daughter, Grynet to us in whelp to a dog of our choice. We will never be able to thank Helene and David enough for their amazing generosity.
Wongan Kadenza 'Lleyton' - would you ever get fed up with looking at this face? I don't think so......

Lleyton flew to England for his holiday but of course as our luck would have it, Eden failed to come in season as planned for the first time in her life! Semen was taken however, and stored for the right girl later on....! When we took Lleyton home, we saw Seamus for the very first time, when he was just three weeks old. We couldn't believe how active the pups were - they were like little clockwork toys! We were so thrilled when Helene agreed to us having one of the dog puppies from this Fritz and Kylie mating - two lovely springers with wonderful temperaments. The rest, of course, is history - such a long, long wait for dogs to come over to the UK, but we have to say that Seamus was most definitely worth it!

While we were waiting for this to happen, Izzie produced our first Peasblossom babies to Sh Ch Mompesson Royal Destiny. 'Lila', Peasblossom Aria stayed with us and enjoyed a great start in the show ring missing out on her Junior Warrant title by one point and a single day...!
Grynet produced a lovely litter to Ch Trollangens Maximum Effect before returning home in whelp with her second litter. Her daughter, 'Rattan', Peasblossom Butterfly at Beresford has enjoyed a super career so far with her owners Trudy and David Topliss winning a CC and two Reserve CC's.
Our third litter was produced by Teasel, Alanea Flame For Peasblossom to Seamus, producing Peasblossom Chance and his sister, Peasblossom Caress. Mattie made a great start too before leaving for a new life in Holland at Kennel van het Veense Springertje while Kye has stayed here. He also made a good start and we look forward to his progress with some optimism.

Since Seamus' arrival in England, we have also welcomed both Holly (Barecho Qualified To Show) and Ninja (Barecho Not Bad At All) from Sweden. Lila has produced her first litter to Int Champion Linmoor Zimply Zalient, and Elin and Robin have made great starts in the ring. Ninja's litter sired by Seamus has produced, Brodie (Peasblossom Geisha at Meonstoke) who finished Best Puppy Bitch at her first Champ Show.
